Students need to apply to graduate from WVU. If you have previously completed the Honors Foundations program and/or currently on track to complete the Honors EXCEL program you will need to complete an Honors Recognition Form.
After completing the Honors Recognition Form, you will need to complete the Honors Pre-Exit Interview Form. The Honors Pre-Exit Interview Form consists of a series of demographic questions.
Upon the submission of both forms, students will have completed the Honors Graduation Process.
Please note that the Honors College reaches out to prospective graduates in the first few weeks of the semester who intend to graduate with detailed information and a timeline for the completion of these forms. The Honors Recognition Form is typically due mid-semester and the Honors Pre-Exit Interview Form is due toward the end of the semester.
Whether you are an Honors Foundations Scholar, Honors EXCEL Scholar, or Honors Laureate (completing both programs), your Honors College accomplishments will be noted both on your diploma and transcript.
Email us at honors@mail.wvu.edu if you have any questions.
Students can visit the Office of the University Registrar website for a step-by-step guide to apply for graduation.

DECEMBER GRADUATION:
There will be an exit survey sent directly to Honors Foundations Scholars, Honors EXCEL Scholars, and Honors Laureate Scholars. Each scholar group will have a unique survey. This pre-exit survey will request your name (so we can confirm your completion of the survey), information about your major(s) and minor(s), and your future plans.
See what Honors has planned to recognize the accomplishments of this year’s Honors Seniors. We hope you’ll join us to congratulate the dedicated students of our community.

Honors EXCEL Scholars should order a gold cap and gown. You will also be awarded an Honors EXCEL medallion prior to commencement.
