Through experiences tied to the Service badge, you’ll better understand community issues and needs, respect and appreciate different perspectives and explore the relationship between social action and civic participation.
How to Earn the Badges
Below are examples of activities that could help you earn each Service level badge. The lists are not all inclusive. You can also suggest your own experiential learning activities!
White Level
- Participate in any WVU approved one or two-credit hour service-learning course
- Earn at least 90 hours of service documented through iServe
- Participate in Purpose2Action
Blue Level
- Participate in any:
- WVU approved three or more credit-hour service-learning course
- Earn at least 135 hours of service documented through iServe
- Serve in AmeriCorps
Gold Level
- Serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA
