Is Honors in Action separate from Honors Foundations?
Yes! The Honors Foundations program is designed for incoming students to complete during their freshmen and sophomore years. The Honors in Action program can be started during your sophomore year if you are a current Honors Foundation student. Other WVU students can apply during their junior year.
Do you receive Honors designation for completing Honors in Action?
Yes! You receive all the same benefits that Foundations students receive including priority registration and honors designation. After successfully completing Honors in Action, you'll also be able to wear a gold cap and gown at graduation.
Can someone who isn’t a Foundation student apply for Honors in Action?
Yes! Other WVU students with a 3.4 or higher GPA can apply for Honors in Action during their junior year.Is Honors in Action replacing Honors EXCEL?
Yes! Honors in Action replaces the Honors EXCEL program which graduates its final class this May.
