2009 West Virginia Governor’s School for Math and Science (GSMS) - Opportunities at West Virginia University!
It's an exciting time for students who are interested in mathematics and science! Those who are currently in the seventh and eighth grades have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a community of scientific research at one of two outstanding facilities.
GSMS for rising 8th-grade students (currently in 7th grade) will be held July 8 -17. Rising 9th graders will attend July 19 - July 31. The program will be based around the central theme of Amusement Parks. Students will form research groups consisting of students, a mentor and and instructor. Each group will have an independent project that will be a component of the overall larger project. For more detail, please see About GSMS.
